We are growing a human! It’s such a miraculous thing to watch how our bodies transform during pregnancy to give our baby everything it needs while we are pregnant and after they are born. Many ways to grow a family

There are many ways to welcome your sweet babies into the world. I was lucky enough to have a successful hospital birth and three home births. I was under the care of a local midwife here in NJ and I loved every single minute of those experiences. Kasey owns her own midwifery practice and you can check out her website here.

Those are just two ways we welcome our littles earth side. I have friends who grow their families with adoption, foster care, cesarean’s, surrogacy and v-bacs. At each newborn session, I love hearing of how their family came to grow. We reminisce and exchange stories. I love when I get to photograph in all forms to celebrate motherhood too.

A maternity Session with Budding Roses Photography

There is something really beautiful about maternity sessions. I will photograph a maternity session in the studio or outside but I have to say, my favorite maternity sessions are always done at the studio in Lebanon, New Jersey. Maternity clients and I discuss all the details prior to their maternity session. I also have a hair and make up artist that I love to use to make mommas look even more gorgeous.

We do images on a backdrop, on the couch and in various other formats. If you are considering a maternity session contact me to book your session here. I encourage you to book your maternity session before you get too far along in your pregnancy as most sessions are photographed between 28 and 34 weeks of pregnancy.

What do you wear during your maternity session?

Luckily, I have lots of dresses to choose from for your maternity session. I have long dresses, short dresses, cardigans, silk wraps and much much more for you to choose from. I like to keep a client closet so that my clients are not worried about what they will have to buy for their session. I like to keep maternity sessions, well all sessions really, stress free. This is a time to relax and let me do the work so to speak.

As you can see, this maternity session was laid back and fun! Most clients when they are getting ready to go say something along the lines of how easy their maternity session was. I love photographing expectant mommas and their spouses. This job is so amazing!
