Outdoor Family Portraits Bucks County PA

I did these outdoor family portraits back in October of last year…yeah, figured it was time to get this session posted to the blog. Hope all of you enjoy looking through these photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!

Every photographer has their own unique style. Personally, I prefer a very natural, child-led experience. Because of this, I don’t do a lot of posing or use a lot of props. With family portraits, I believe the emphasis should be on capturing your family as a whole, as well as the personality of each individual. Outdoor sessions are a great way to accomplish that! Kids especially seem to feel much more at ease being able to run around outside instead of smiling at a camera in the studio. And it’s even better if—as in this case—the session takes place in your own space. We did these outdoor family portraits at this family’s gorgeous farm in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. I couldn’t have asked for a better setting!

I’ve known this family for a while now. They are amazing! I met mom at the local Montessori school and we clicked almost immediately. (She’s a fitness instructor at HealthQuest Gym in Flemington, NJ, so if you’re looking to get in shape—she’s your gal!) She and her husband have the cutest kids—I love everything about their family. So, of course, I was super excited when she asked me to do family portraits for them.

We had so much fun during this session! We played games, the kids just laughed and ran all over the place and had the best time ever. This is exactly what I aim for in all my photography sessions. A memorable, fun, relaxed experience that you can look back on and remember. After all, memories are what photos are all about!
