One of the best parts of being a photographer is that I really have the most amazing families contact me.  I get to work with the sweetest babies and their parents are always so much fun.  After a newborn session, many moms will ask me “What is next?” I always say snuggle and enjoy the time with your new baby.  Once they hit those milestone ages, they can come back in for another photoshoot.  Those milestone sessions are just as important as the newborn photoshoot.  They capture the essence of your growing baby.  They are completely styled to your taste and needs. I love milestone sessions.  They are so much fun.  As a newborn, babies are very sleepy and curly and surprise me with a smile here and there but, as a 6 month old, or even as a one year old, their personalities really shine through.  I love babies of all ages (my two and a half year old may be a toddler now, but he will always be a baby to me).  I love the giggles and the smiles and the playfulness they bring to a session.  Adults can always learn from children.  As adults we tend to get too caught up in our lives and the moments that surround us.  Children, well they live in the moment and really show us how to enjoy and be joyful throughout the obstacles they overcome.  Sure, there are tears but, at the end of the tears, there is always another smile and more stamina to keep exploring, to keep on going.

Our babies grow up so fast.  I love to capture your favorite moments of them.  First birthday milestone sessions, also called a smash and splash are always a family favorite.  Milestone sessions are very child led and they really show off your little ones personality.  During a smash and splash, I do pictures on a seamless backdrop of your sweet one dressed in your outfit of choice.  Then we incorporate a cake that they tend to take tiny little bites out of….it isn’t everyday mom and dad let them eat a whole cake in anyway they want to.  After the cake, we pull out a small tub that has water in it and let the little ones splash away.  First birthday sessions are a lot of fun.  If you would like me to capture a milestone session at my Central NJ Studio, for your sweet one, please contact me.
