The Giving Pond Family Session

I was so happy when this family booked a family session with me. The giving pond in bucks county PA is one of my most favorite places to photograph a family session at. There are so many nooks and crannies there to play around in. We had the perfect overcast day for this fall family session while we were at The Giving Pond.

Even though it was an overcast day we really lucked out with the weather. It wasn’t too cold or windy. The kids had loads of fun too. When you pull into the Giving Pond, you can park right in the front area or drive into the back and park by the picnic benches. In the back area there is a little hiking trail off to the left of the Giving Pond area. If you hike a little while down that trail, there is an area where families can picnic and overlook the water, which is where we took these images.

This picnic area also offers gorgeous fall views in the Fall time. There were so many huge leaves that the girls played with and used in our games. The Giving pond is a great place for families to go and explore especially if they kayak and boat.

The giving pond is superb for a family session. There is a lot of space to photograph there and I love the way the pond looks in the background. Plus in fall you really cannot beat the beautiful fall foliage.

I get a lot of questions regarding family sessions. We have a lot of fun during our time together. We laugh and play and also incorporate posed set ups too. Using nature as our backdrop is my favorite thing to do and I will usually bring a quilt to utilize for the pictures you lay down in. I always take solo kid pictures, sibling pictures together and then multiples of the family being together while they play and also while they are standing and seated. I really try and make it a great experience for everyone involved.
