Owen’s Newborn Images

Owen’s Newborn Images

These are my Owen’s newborn images.  I am having a rather nostalgic moment.  My third bubs is about to be 1.  ONE!  I keep asking how in the heck did a year come and go already?  It is almost like this year flew by my nose.  I knew when I was pregnant with him last year that I was going to do Owen’s newborn images.  I was so happy that I was able to do them.  I captured every single essence of his newborn squishy phase that I wanted.  He was so big and fat, weighing in at a whopping 11 lbs and 2 oz.  Not only was he fat, but he was a huge snuggler.  I swear he ate all the time too…but he was a newborn and we forget so quickly how much they eat in those early days.  Luckily I had some help with my nursling.  We had some issues at first.  It was painful.  Im not going to lie, the first week of him nursing was like super painful.  We had a lot to work out.  Owen and I were establishing a relationship.  We literally just met earth side and here I am thinking that nursing will be a breeze.  It isn’t, it is hard.  Nursing is hard and sometimes frustrating and painful.  This is where good help and advice comes in handy.  If you are nursing your newborn and you are having issues, please contact your local lactation consultant.  They will help you and advise you to do things that will increase your likely hood to nurse your baby with success.  If you  are in NJ contact your local la leche league or you can also use Keystone Lactation Services.  They helped my sister in law out tremendously.  Please don’t be afraid to ask for help, sometimes in order to make it a successful nursing journey you need a second set of eyes.  As new moms we are constantly worried about so many things and help is amazing for us.  I always say those first few weeks are the toughest with a new baby, there is always so much going on.  You can make it through them!  I promise.  And once you do and look back you will be like me….wondering where in the world did the months go!?
