Newborn Baby Photo Session in Hunterdon County NJ
I have been so blessed to study under some of the most amazing women in the USA for Newborn Baby Photography. It is really important to me to emphasize safety first when handling your newborn baby. My most recent mentors, Orange County, CA Newborn Photographer Stevie Cruz and Tulsa, OK newborn photographer Meagan Ready were nothing short of amazing during our Blossom Workshop Mentoring Class in January. They taught us all about safety and properly exposing for our pictures.
People often think that a photographer just lays a newborn baby down during their photo session and starts taking pictures. This is only half true. When a newborn baby comes into the studio, located in Hunterdon County, NJ, for their photo session, a lot of pre preparation happens. First, I like to meet with the parents who will be bringing their newborn baby in. I like them to see the different picture options we have available for purchase at our Photography Studio. Parents also like to see what color backdrops I have along with props, clothing, bonnets and wraps.
During your newborn baby photo session, your newborn baby is handled very carefully. The studio is set to an appropriate temperature and your newborn is never forced into any pose. Most to all newborn babies will settle into all poses fairly easily. In my Hunterdon County, NJ studio, my workflow is similar at all sessions depending on how sleepy your newborn baby is for their photo session.
Both Stevie and Meagan teach an amazing amount of knowledge at their workshops. My favorite thing that Stevie said to us at our workshop was that “we (newborn photographers) are not professional photo-shoppers, we are photographers, and it is extremely important to get it right in camera.” As you can see in the images below, when we are taking our pictures at the newborn photo session, getting our images correct in camera raw is a huge feat, along with perfectly posing your newborn baby.
I am so happy to offer newborn baby sessions at my studio located in Hunterdon County, NJ in Milford. Hunterdon County, NJ is not too far from both NYC and Philadelphia. Surrounding cities include Flemington, Raritan, Clinton, Princeton, Frenchtown and Lambertville.
Here is a peek of what we learned while at our Blossom Workshop In Person class. All babies were posed and or wrapped by either Stevie or Meagan.
I would be honored to capture these fleeting moments for you!
