New Jersey Maternity Photos

This expecting New Jersey family had their maternity photos done a few weeks ago.  Kristin’s maternity session was so much fun! She and her husband are expecting a rainbow baby in just a few short weeks.  When Kristin contacted me to do her maternity pictures and told me about her rainbow baby, I knew that I needed to get something to incorporate a rainbow in a fun way.  My girl over at Floral and Evergreen totally came through for me on this after I called her.  I wanted a floral crown, but nothing too gaudy and over the top.  I also needed it to be versatile so that I could use it as a floral crown or as a sash for my maternity gowns in my client closet.  As you will see below in these maternity pictures, the crown is amazing!

For this maternity session, we met at a private farm and took pictures up by the barn and then along the trail that leads back to the house.  My sister and her fiancé live on this land and it is privately farmed and they let me come and photograph families and maternity clients there.  The backdrop is gorgeous, which is normal for New Jersey.  There are rolling hills, trees and lots of greenery.  Where they live there is a creek that runs through the farm and it is a very chilly 55 degrees but, that didn’t stop Kristin from getting in and getting her feet wet.  (I promise she wasn’t in there long enough and we had open communication throughout those images.)

Once we finished her maternity pictures at this New Jersey farm, we went back to their house and got their dogs because, fur-babies!!  We had so much fun photographing the dogs too.  I am really excited to share these maternity images with you.  All pictures were taken in Warren County, New Jersey and we literally finished as the rain began to fall.  The dogs, Nina, Murdock and Maggie were so funny during their portion of the pictures.  Maggie just kept barking…but I really think she was talking to me, and Nina was the perfect model all the while Murdock stayed pretty close to his momma and new baby sibling to be.
