Laughlin Family Session

The Laughlin family session was so much fun. Even though it was super hot, we still had a great time and got some wonderful images.

Early in the summer, my family moved from the Gulf Coast of Mississippi to the East Coast of New Jersey. Throughout my journey, I was blessed enough to stop and visit friends. Teal and I have known each other for over 30 years….weird right?!?! I was excited to stop and have the opportunity to visit with her and her family in Greensboro. Of course I couldn’t resist the opportunity to have session with them! So we trekked off to the local Botanical Garden on what felt like the hottest day ever. It was so worth it tho. I captured some amazing moments between the Laughlin Family.

One of the things I love most about photographing families is snapping my shutter during those real life moments. A sweet kiss being exchanged, an embrace, movement and even silly faces. Actually, when I’m shooting during my sessions, I always have my families make a silly face. It tends to lighten the mood and get rid of nervousness for those who do not really care to be photographed.
