Digital photography with your SLR

Digital photography with your SLR

I get so many inquiries on digital photography with a Digital SLR.  It can be rather daunting learning all the functions of your shiny new digital camera.  It has so many new functions, many new buttons and the lenses can be interchanged.  It is confusing at first, not knowing what to put your camera on, how to change things around on it and which settings to use.  Whether it be Nikon, Canon, Sony or panasonic, I can help you.

I will teach you to take your camera off of its automatic setting (you know, the little green square) and show you how to take pictures in manual mode.  I will cover everything from Shutter Speed, Aperture to ISO and Metering Modes.  I will also explain the exposure triangle and white balance.  There will also be information given on the best labs to print out your images.  By the end of our class together, you will feel more confident taking pictures with your new SLR.

This class is not for those aspiring to be professional photographers.  I will show you a ton of new skills in a short time.  You will be able to take control of your camera and capture all those special moments. This class requires a digital SLR (you can take off and replace the lens).  Point and shoot cameras are not ideal for this class.  Come spend a few hours with me and take control of your camera!

To sign up for a class, email me here.

This image was taken on manual mode.  I did not use a flash and I told my camera what to do.

Once you learn how to tell your camera what to do, you will feel liberated and be pulling out your big girl/big boy camera more often to capture those special moments. I promise to make it fun and I will give you the confidence you need to get off of auto mode with your fancy new camera!  I look forward to teaching you all about digital photography with your SLR!
